Homeschool Art

This year, as part of my son's high school curriculum, he is doing art. We are using Alpha Omega Art Lifepacs for our study. Blake is 14 yrs old and is in the 9th grade. He just finished lifepac #5 which is portrait drawing. He has never drawn portraits before. The lifepac explains step by step how to produce a portrait drawing from a photograph.

Below is his portrait drawing. I think he did an excellent job, especially since he has never done this type of art before. He was very pleased with it and has expressed an interest of doing more portraits in his spare time. You never know when you are homeschooling what will "inspire", "encourage" your child. You see, at first he was very hesitant about this, but gradually got more excited about it as it progressed.
